Bankhead Coal Mine

Bankhead Mine was located near the town of Bankhead, in Walker County, AL, about 4 miles south of the county seat, Jasper, AL.  The mine was served by the Southern RR, now the Norfolk Southern.  Based on my current understanding the mine has been closed for some years.
